A man died on Thursday while riding his motorcycle near the city Krasnohoriwka. The area became the target of an enemy drone attack. This news was provided by Anton Herashchenko, former deputy minister at the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, who reports on the ongoing war.

The death of the 47-year-old general was confirmed by his sisters on social media.

Pavel Klimenko commanded the 5th Donetsk Motorized Rifle Brigade. Its members were said to be exceptionally cruel. In April 2024, they caused the death of an American war blogger Russell Bentley.

Bentley was accused of being an American spy acting for NATO. In fact, he sympathized with the aggressor and wanted to “liberate Donbas”. Drunk Russians mercilessly took his life.

The Kyiv Independent reported that Klimenko was extremely harsh towards his subordinates. He forced Russian soldiers to give up their salaries in exchange for being transferred from the front line. He is said to have set up torture camps in occupied Donetsk, where people were sent rebellious fighters.
