On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Russia carried out a massive attack using 145 drones on Ukraine. On Sunday, two crashed drones were found in Moldova.
Moldovan police reported on Sunday that a drone had been found near one of the villages in the Causeni region in the southeast of the country, near the border with Ukraine. Information on this matter was provided to the police by a local resident. The area around the drone was secured and services were dispatched to the site.
In the afternoon, the police reported that another drone had been found, this time near the village of Boroseni in the north-west of the country, near the border with Romania. “The area has been isolated and the drone is to be examined,” the statement said.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched a record number of 145 drones over Ukraine on the night from Saturday to Sunday. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 62 of them. 67 UAVs went missing in various regions of Ukraine, another 10 left Ukrainian airspace flying towards Moldova, Belarus and Russia.
These are further cases of drones being found in Moldova. In February this year, the authorities in Chisinau reported that fragments of the Shahed drone were spotted in Gagauzia. In February last year, the remains of a downed Russian missile were found in the Bryczański district in northern Moldova.
