Firefighters carried a man out of a burning house in Bukowa (Lublin Voivodeship). The 70-year-old's life could not be saved.
– We received the report yesterday at 9:49 p.m. In the town of Bukowa, a single-story house with an attic went up in flames, said Captain Mateusz MaĆyszek from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in BiĆgoraj on Sunday.
Seven fire brigades, i.e. 44 firefighters, were sent to the site. The first to arrive were those from the BukĂłw Volunteer Fire Department.
He couldn't be saved
– An approximately 70-year-old man was found inside. He had no vital functions. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was started. Unfortunately, the man could not be saved, the firefighter said.
He added that about 60 percent of the ground floor and 80 percent of the roof truss were burned. – The causes of the fire are not known yet – he concluded
