Wrocław police officers detained a serial burglar who pried open windows in apartments at night and then stole valuable items from the rooms. The 41-year-old usually stole jewelry, money and collector coins.
As Commissioner Wojciech Jabłoński, spokesman for the Wrocław police, announced on Tuesday, a 41-year-old man suspected of burglary was temporarily arrested by the court for three months.
“The perpetrator, under the cover of darkness, pried open windows in apartments and then stole valuable items from the rooms. His loot most often included jewelry, money and collector coins, as well as ATM cards. The police have already recovered some of the stolen items,” said the policeman.
He broke into apartments when everyone was asleep
The suspect also broke in when the household members were sleeping in the apartments.
“The police proved that the suspect committed four burglaries and thefts, but they suspect that he may have committed many more such acts. The police are finding more victims who were robbed by him,” Jabłoński said.
That is why the police publish stolen items on their website and appeal to people who have been robbed to recognize their items. Contact with the Wrocław Stare Miasto Police Station at ul. Legnicka 34 by phone: 47-871-50-00 or 47-871-50-02.
