Donald Tusk and Mateusz Morawiecki are the most recognizable politicians on the Polish political scene – indicate the results of a new Opinia24 survey for Radio ZET. The study also examined already announced and potential presidential candidates. One of them took last place in the recognition ranking.
The first place in the recognition survey for Radio ZET was taken ex aequo by the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk and its predecessor Mateusz Morawiecki. 98 percent of respondents identified them correctly. He obtained a slightly worse result Jarosław Kaczyński. The President of Law and Justice was recognized by 97 percent of respondents. The same number of respondents correctly indicated: Szymon Hołownia and Rafał Trzaskowski. The first of them has already announced his participation in next year's presidential elections. The second is one of the participants conducted in Civic Coalition of the primaries.
The most recognizable politicians – ranking
The result is two percentage points worse – i.e. 95%. – noted former Prime Minister Beata SzydÅ‚o and one of the leaders of the Left Robert BiedroÅ„. Competing with RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski for the KO nomination RadosÅ‚aw Sikorski recognized by 92 percent of survey participants. The same percentage of respondents correctly identified PrzemysÅ‚aw Czarnek, mentioned in the media as one of PiS's potential presidential candidates, and Krzysztof Bosak from the Confederation.
The next places in the survey were taken by two PiS politicians – Patryk Jaki and Mariusz BÅ‚aszczak. The former was recognized by 88 percent of respondents, the latter by 87. BÅ‚aszczak is also mentioned among PiS's potential candidates for the office of president. Confederation MEP Grzegorz Braun's result was one percentage point worse than him. Next, with recognition of 84 percent, was WÅ‚odzimierz Czarzasty, and SÅ‚awomir Mentzen – the Confederation's candidate for president, correctly recognized by 81 percent of survey participants.
The next most recognizable person was Razem MP Adrian Zandberg, who was recognized by 66 percent of respondents. Marek Jakubiak from the Free Republicans group, who announced that he would run in next year's presidential elections, was recognized by 59 percent of respondents. Next, the Minister of Labor was mentioned among the potential candidates for president of the Left Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-BÄ…k with a result of 54 percent.
Potential candidates among the least recognizable
The last three places in the study were taken by Tobiasz Bocheński, Magdalena Biejat and Karol Nawrocki. They were recognized by 51, 43 and 39 percent of study participants. The names of Bocheński and Nawrocki appear in the debate about the PiS candidate for president. Magdalena Biejat is considered one of the Left's potential candidates for this position.
The study was commissioned by Radio Zet. It was conducted using the mixed mode method (CATI and CAWI) between November 13 and 18, 2024, on a sample of 1,000 adult Poles.
