During the meeting of the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, in Rypin, there was a sharp exchange of opinions between him and two residents. They accused the presidential candidate that “the December 13 coalition is not worried about Poland” and that “everything is sold.” After a long discussion, Hołownia wanted to shake their hands, but they refused.

Hołownia in Rypin, among others, Fr Radosław Sikorskiwho fights with Rafał Trzaskowski for nomination as the KO candidate in the presidential elections. The results of Friday's primary vote are to be known by noon on Saturday.

– I was extremely impressed by Sikorski's attitude in these primaries. He is a brave, brave and competent politician, of a very high standard. He impressed me with his bravery, but I am not a member of the Civic Coalition, so I will not vote – said Hołownia.

He also referred to a possible candidate PISi.e. the boss Institute of National Remembrance Karol Nawrocki.

– We don't know much about him and we don't know if he will be able to present himself properly to all of us. Whoever is the candidate Jarosław KaczyńskiI will be happy to face him. Whoever is the candidate Donald Tusk – I'll be happy to face him. I really am convinced that Poland needs an independent candidate, independent of the duopoly. Stabilizing the situation in Poland. One who will be able to listen to citizens in freedom, and not to his superior – said Hołownia.

Tension during the meeting with Hołownia. “Shall we shake hands or not?”

During the meeting, there was an exchange of words between Hołownia and two dissatisfied residents. They accused Hołownia that “the December 13 coalition is not worried about Poland.” – Everything is sold, large companies are going bankrupt – they said. They also returned to the spring farmers' protest, accusing the Speaker of the Sejm of passivity and the police of provocations and beating farmers.

Hołownia tried to talk to the men, exchange arguments, asked about specifics regarding the failing companies, and finally wanted to shake their hands because – as he said – “he thinks they wish Poland well.”

– Shall we shake hands or not? My last question – Hołownia asked them. However, the men refused.

– Thank you very much. I did what I could.

During the meeting in Rypin, the Marshal of the Sejm also assured that no social programs would be eliminated. He argued that it is necessary to increase budget revenues by stimulating investments. – Without a strong and well-functioning economy, there will be no money to buy tanks, he said.
