IOM estimates that between November 11 and 20, 2024 alone, nearly 41,000 people abandoned their homes due to the threat of escalating violence in Haiti. people. During this period, several hundred people were murdered.
The authors of the report specified that the displaced people are mainly people who previously lived in the agglomeration of Port-au-Prince, the capital Haiti. They added that this year November is the month with the highest number of migrants people inside the country over the last two years.
