On Thursday morning in Żyrardów, a Koleje Mazowieckie train fatally hit a woman. Emergency services are working on site. There are delays on the Skierniewice line.
The officer on duty at the Żyrardów police station at 7.46 received a report that in Żyrardów, at 1 Maja Street, a Skierniewice-Warszawa Wschodnia train hit a woman crossing the tracks.
– As a result of the injuries sustained in the incident, the woman died on the spot. The driver was tested for sobriety and was sober – said Junior Asp. Patrycja Sochacka from the District Police Headquarters in Żyrardów.
Police officers are working on site. They perform activities under the supervision of a prosecutor.
“There may be train delays of approximately 15 minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience,” Polskie Linie Kolejowe reported on the Passenger Portal.
