From the PR point of view, this decision is very bad for Law and Justice – said Aleksandra Leo (Poland 2050) in “Kropka nad i”, referring to the granting of international protection to the wanted PiS MP Marcin Romanowski by Hungary. She explained that Viktor Orban is a man “who implements Putin's line in the European Union.” Marcin Horała (PiS) argued that the former deputy minister of justice “has lost all hope that he can count on a fair court in Poland.”
Afterword by Marcin Horała z PIS and Aleksandra Leo from Poland 2050 spoke in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 about the case of Marcin Romanowski, who – as his defense lawyer informed – obtained “international protection” in Hungary.
According to Leo, Romanowski went to… Hungary“isn't surprising at all.” – However, Prime Minister Orban's decision is very surprising and confrontational. Let's remember that this is a man who talked to Putin on the phone a few days ago, who is implementing Putin's line in the European Union, who puts himself and Hungary on the margin, outside the pale of the European Union – she mentioned.
She also assessed that “from the PR point of view for Law and Justice” this decision is “very bad”.

Horała about Romanowski: he lost all hope that he could count on a fair trial
Horała, however, assessed that the decision to grant protection was “bad in the sense that it was needed.” – I would very much like for Minister Romanowski to be able to prove his innocence before an objective, non-political Polish prosecutor's office or before an objective Polish court. Unfortunately, these conditions were clearly not met, he said.

The PiS MP said that “the prosecutor's office, instead of clarifying this case, collecting evidence and going to court with an indictment – apparently the evidence is shocking – focused only on arresting the MP by law, by fraud, in breach of immunity, Minister Romanowski – he continued.
According to him, the former deputy minister of justice “has lost all hope that he can count on a fair court in Poland.”
When asked whether he thought Romanowski did the right thing by going to Hungary, Horała replied that “it was Minister Romanowski's decision.” – I only understand that he could have become 100% sure that in Poland he would not receive a fair trial and fair treatment by the prosecutor's office – he said.
Kwiatkowski: Romanowski makes fools of everyone
Former prosecutor general and former minister of justice, and currently KO senator Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, who was a guest in the next part of “Kropka nad i”, said that Romanowski “is making fools of everyone.”
– The provisions of the law on asylum state that asylum may be granted to a person who is afraid of persecution in his country of origin due to race, religion, nationality, membership in a specific social group or political views. It is not written here that asylum is granted to a person who is responsible for the embezzlement of over one hundred million zlotys from the Justice Fund, he emphasized.
– I'm starting to get a little nervous because it will soon turn out that we only have abused people in this country – he added.
He also pointed out that “the entire European Union is based on a certain trust in the justice authorities operating in individual countries.” He emphasized that “after all, the EAW is a decision of the Polish court, not the Polish government.”
