The S8 route near the town of Budykierz in the Wyszków poviat was blocked towards Warsaw. The driver of a passenger car hit a car that was pulling a trailer with a yacht. The boat fell onto the road.

The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways warns against difficulties on the S8 route. The collision near the town of Budykierz occurred around 5 p.m. Road officials reported that two passenger cars collided on the section of the expressway between Poręba and Knurowiec, resulting in the load carried by one of the drivers falling off. According to GDDKiA, no one was injured.

The message shows that the road towards Warsaw has been blocked and traffic is diverted.

Police: a BMW driver hit the back of a trailer with a yacht

– The 46-year-old driver of the BMW did not keep a safe distance from the Land Rover in front of him, which was transporting a sailing yacht on a trailer, hitting the rear of the trailer. As a result of the incident, the yacht partially slid off the trailer, falling onto the traffic lane and blocking it – reports Deputy Commissioner Wioleta Szymanik from the District Police Headquarters in Wyszków.

He adds that both drivers were sober. He also confirms that no one was injured.

– The road at the site of the incident will be blocked for at least two more hours. Police officers are working on site, directing drivers to detours on the service road – notes the spokeswoman of the Wyszków police after 6 p.m. He explains that tugboats were called to the S8 route. The crossing will be cleared after the boats and wrecked vehicles have been removed.

Firefighters from Wyszków inform about the incident on social media. The entry includes photos showing that the boat fell onto the road. The off-road vehicle carrying her stopped across the lane.
