A 77-year-old passenger car driver drove into a group of pedestrians in Myśligoszcz (Pomeranian Voivodeship). Three people were injured, including two children. – Preliminary findings show that he most likely did not adjust his speed to the driving conditions and, on a curve in the road, he drove into the opposite lane and then drove onto the pavement – said the spokeswoman for the Człuchów police, Junior Asp. Agnieszka Prophet. The driver was sober.

Press officer of the Człuchów police, junior asp. Agnieszka Prorok informed that the accident occurred on Wednesday after 14, in Myśligoszcz, Człuchów County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, on provincial road No. 188.

– Preliminary findings show that a 77-year-old man driving a passenger car most likely did not adjust his speed to the driving conditions and, on a curve in the road, drove into the opposite lane and then drove onto the sidewalk, where he hit three people, she said.

The injured were taken to hospital

She reported that the 46-year-old and the 12-year-old and 9-year-old with her suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. – The woman received medical help for a leg injury, the older boy for a pelvis injury, and the 9-year-old boy suffered general contusions – Prophet explained.

The injured were transported to hospitals in Chojnice, Piła and Więcbork.

The driver explained to the police that the sun blinded him and he did not notice the pedestrians. The man was sober.
