A fire in an apartment in one of the tenement houses in Łódź ended tragically. Five fire brigades arrived at the scene. Firefighters managed to evacuate a man who was in an apartment on fire. Despite resuscitation, he died.
More than 20 firefighters took part in the operation in a tenement house at Mielczarskiego Street in Łódź. The report was received on Saturday at 10.29.
– We received information about a fire in an apartment on the first floor. Even before the arrival of the services, five people evacuated from the building. Firefighters helped two residents, including a 60-year-old man from the apartment caught in the fire, reports Captain Łukasz Góczyński, spokesman for the City Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Łódź.

Despite resuscitation, the injured man could not be saved. – Our activities on site have already ended. Five fire brigades took part in them – summed up Captain Górczyński after 1 p.m.
The police will investigate the circumstances of the fire.
