In Jabłonna near Warsaw, police intervened against an aggressive man with a pitchfork. He didn't respond to commands, so they used weapons. Three shots were fired and the wounded aggressor was taken to hospital.
Artur Węgrzynowicz, a reporter from tvnwarszawa.pl, learned about the intervention at Parkowa Street in Jabłonna. We confirmed his findings in the prosecutor's office.
– Upon arrival, the police were attacked by a man using a pitchfork. He did not respond to the officers' commands. The policeman used gas on him, but it did not work. It was decided to use a stun gun, but it did not work – described prosecutor Norbert Woliński, press spokesman for the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
The policeman fired a warning shot, but even this did not calm the man down. – The officer then fired two shots at the man, hitting him in the leg. The man with a leg wound was transported to hospital – added Woliński.
