Let's remindcontroversy around Zygmunt Solorz's family erupted when, at the end of September, a document was sent to the heads of Cyfrowy Polsat, Telewizja Polsat, Polkomtel and Netia warning against an attempt to take over the billionaire's business by unauthorized persons. The billionaire's children then informed that due to the disease, contact with their father was difficult, which was said to worry them even more. At the same time, Solorz's offspring had a dispute with Justyna Kulka – the businessman's new wife. In response to the children's appeal, Zygmunt Solorz announced that he would remove them from the management boards of his companies.
The saga of the Solorz family continues. An important decision was to be made at the general meeting of Polsat
According to reports “Gazeta Wyborcza“Wednesday's Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders of Telewizja Polsat was supposed to last only 20 minutes – it was held remotely and was not public. Information”GW” revealed that the meeting was attended by Zygmunt Solorz, who seemed to be “in very good shape”.
The most important issue to be discussed at the meeting was the future of the current president of Polsat, Piotr Å»ak – Solorz's son. Despite media speculation, the man was not dismissed from his position, but the resolution limited his powers. “GW” announced that the company's articles of association have been changed, thanks to which key decisions can be made without the president's signature – the presence of one management board member and a proxy will be enough.
Solorz's sons dealt with many of their father's companies
Piotr Żak, who remains as president of the management board of Telewizja Polsat, is the younger of the businessman's sons. Together with his brother, he has previously served on the supervisory bodies of over 50 of Solorz's companies, including: Interia Group, Asseco Poland and Netia. He is the elder of the billionaire's sons Tobias Solorz. Since 2019, he has been a member of the supervisory board of Polkomtel and Telewizja Polsat, and from 2022 also in Netia.
