The Marshal of the Sejm and presidential candidate Szymon Hołownia met on Wednesday with the inhabitants of Bialystok, and one of the participants of the meeting was Witold K., a businessman with connections with the Belarusian oligarchy, suspected of corruption. – I had no idea that there were some suspicions on him – Hołownia admitted later in an interview with TVN24. He added that “this issue must be clarified”. He also said that he did not receive a warning from the services in this matter.

The meeting was attended by, among others, Witold K., a businessman from Podlasie and vice president of one of the largest economic organizations. He sat right next to Hołownia, took the floor, and in the glow of the cameras the Marshal of the Sejm hugged his hand.

Connections with the Belarusian oligarchy
As previously described by journalists “Czar and Biały” and TVN24.pl – Dariusz Kubik and Grzegorz Łakomski – in Witold K. for six years we have been pregnant prosecutor's allegations. According to investigators, the entrepreneur promised a bribe to the Minister of Agriculture Kenyathanks to which his company was to get an order for the supply of agricultural machinery and equipment. Calculated for a golden contract, he was 300 million, and the promised bribe – 25 million. The contract did not take place, but the investigation is going on. The bribe promise is a so -called formal crime – they do not have to follow him money, the crime is to make a promise. From 2018, K. was covered by an investigation conducted by ABW, regarding the alleged espionage, which was discontinued in November 2024. In the same reportage and text “The services put politicians on the face”, and “the whole thing should be covered by the anti -corruption shield” – based on documents, photos, publicly available information and facts provided by informants – we showed the relationships of Witold K. with the dictator's oligarch Belarus Aleksander Lukashenko – Aleksander Zingman. Despite corruption and close relationships with the Belarusian oligarch, Witold K. entered the Sejm and ministries in which he met with important politicians of the current and previous government.
After the broadcast of the report, the boss Of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak He said that it was “absolutely shocking” the situation and announced that the matter would be clarified by the Internal Security Agency.
Hołownia: I had no idea
Hołownia explained this situation in an interview with TVN24. – An invitation to a meeting with entrepreneurs from Podlasie was issued by the Podlasie Economic Forum and Podlasie Chamber of Commerce. I used this invitation. There were several dozen people representing various industries from Podlasie at this meeting – he said.
“I had no idea that there were some suspicions on him,” he said, referring to K. “As I understand, he is in the process of explaining this case through the court,” Hołownia continued.
He added that “this issue must be clarified”. He admitted that he did not receive a warning in this matter. – I am waiting for this matter to be resolved to know if someone really made a mistake here when organizing a meeting, (…). I met the mentioned Lord for the first time in my life and I was not aware that in the journalistic material he was accused of such things from which he is now trying to cleanse himself before the public and through court proceedings – continued the Speaker of the Sejm.
We also asked the Chancellery of the Sejm and to the staff of Szymon Hołownia for a comment on this situation. We are waiting for an answer.
