A Christmas dream come true. “She rang the doorbell herself”

A four-year-old female dog named Atena went missing from the Comer family living in Florida in mid-December. The animal had been away from home for approximately nine days.

– I looked for her every day. “Every time I came back without her, we were all devastated,” said Brooke Comer, the dog's owner. Neighbors were also involved in the search.

The dog appeared at the house on Christmas Eve. She let the owners know in an unusual way, because she rang the doorbell herself, which was captured on an external camera.

– Around 2.30 she came to the house and rang the doorbell herself – Comer reported. The woman was very happy to have the dog back. – I was very excited, I tried not to wake up the children, but they woke up anyway – she said. She added that their Christmas dream had come true.

The family plans to have the dog microchipped as soon as the holidays are over.
