During the night and in the morning the temperature at the ground may fall to -7 degrees Celsius – warns the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management. Yellow alarms apply in 11 voivodships before frosts. The IMGW threat forecast shows that such aura will stay with us for longer.
Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first degree warnings in a three -stage, growing scale and a threat forecast for the next days.
First degree IMGW warnings – frost
Yellow alarms were issued for voivodships:
- West Pomeranian;
- Pomeranian;
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship;
- Podlasie;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranian;
- Lubuskie;
- Greater Polandoutside the Kępiński poviat;
- Łódźoutside the southern poviats;
- Mazowieckieoutside the extreme southern poviats;
- Lublinin the following poviats: Biała PodlaskaRadzyński, Łukowski, Rycki;
- Lower Silesiain the following poviats: Górowskie, Lubiński, Głogów, Polkowice, and Legnica, LegnicaBolesławiecki, Zgorzelecki, Lubański, Lviv, Karkonosze,, Jelenia GóraKamiennogórski, Wałbrzych, WałbrzychJaworski, Złotoryjski.
A decrease in air temperature is forecast at a height of two meters above the ground level to -2 degrees Celsius, and locally to -4 degrees C. At the ground, the temperature drops to -4 degrees Celsius, and locally to -7 degrees C.
The warnings will be valid from 23 pm on Monday to 7 and 7.30 on Tuesday.

Threat forecast for Wednesday
IN Wednesday The frosts will cover the south, east and northern regions. First degree warnings should be expected by residents of voivodships: West Pomeranian, Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Mazowieckie, Podlasie, Lublin, Łódź and northern regions Podkarpacie, Lesser Poland and Silesia.

The next day, i.e. Thursday, Western and southwestern regions will also include frosts. Subsequent alarms are possible in the voivodships: Greater Poland, Lower Silesia, Opole and in southern areas Kielce land and Świętokrzyska.

On Friday IMGW plans to issue first degree warnings for voivodships: Pomeranian, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Mazowieckie, Podlasie, Lublin, Podkarpackie and part of the province. Lesser Poland and Silesian.

What is the first degree meteorological warning
According to the IMGW definition, the first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of threat, including delays caused by traffic difficulties, disturbances in outdoor events or the possibility of their dismissal.
