A drunk passenger car driver entered a woman with two children. The accident occurred at the pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Monte Cassino and Katowicka streets in Opole.

The fire brigade received a notification at 19:47.

As reported by the press officer of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Opole Brig. Tomasz Pierzchała took place at the pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Monte Cassino and Katowicka streets. The driver of the passenger car hit a woman, two children and a dog.

The children and the woman were hospitalized.

– Unfortunately, the dog did not survive the event – told the duty position of managing the Opole Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service.

The driver was drunk

– According to the preliminary findings of policemen working on the spot, the 49 -year -old head of the Mazda lost his reign, entered the pavement at the pedestrian crossing and hit a woman with two children and a dog – said young asp. Marta Białek from the KWP press team in Opole.

The driver was not injured. The uniforms checked his sobriety. – The result of the study indicated two alcohol per mille. The man was detained by policemen – added Białek.

The road at the moment is blocked. On -site police conduct activities to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
