On Friday evening, an accident occurred in which a 55-year-old limestone mine worker died in Rogaszyn (Łódź Province). The man was buried in limestone. After partially digging out the injured man, the emergency doctor pronounced him dead.
– Information about the incident was received by the services at approximately 6:30 p.m. – informed the spokesman for the provincial commander of the State Fire Service in Łódź, Jędrzej Pawlak.
As he reported, in a limestone mine in the town of Rogaszyn, a 55-year-old worker was buried under ground limestone.
– Firefighters and specialist units with rubble dogs were dispatched to the rescue operation, but before they arrived at the scene of the accident, the injured man was partially exhumed and the Air Ambulance doctor present at the scene pronounced him dead – he reported.
The circumstances of the incident in which the 55-year-old died will be investigated by the police.
