Dramatic fall of the Polish jumper
The competition on the HS 100 hill was won by Julijan Smid ahead of Ulrich Wohlgenannemt and Niklas Bachlinger. As for the Poles, three of them took part in the final series – Szymon Byrski, Wiktor Szozda and Tomasz Pilch. The best result among the White and Reds was achieved by the latter, which finished in 22nd position. Tomasz Pilch was one place lower.
Szymon Byrski was ultimately classified in 30th place, but that was not the worst. Polish the jumper had a fall at jump at 89 meters. According to skijumping.pl, after his fall, the competition was interrupted for a few minutes.

The Polish jumper's coach calms down
The portal's journalist – Dominik Formala talked about the incident with his coach – Daniel Kwiatkowski. “I'm with him in the hospital, he's under observation. He's gone ski and hit his head. His face is bruised, but otherwise everything is fine at the moment,” he said.
After these words, fans can calm down a bit. Everything indicates that Szymon Byrski will be ready for the next FIS Cup competition. He is the highest-ranked Pole in these competitions (sixth place). Let us remind you that the next competition is scheduled for February 1-2 in Szczyrk. Then the players will go to Austria (Villach) and Germany (Oberhof).
