Officers of the Internal Security Agency detained a 47 -year -old Ukrainian citizen working for Russian intelligence – spokesman Jacek Dobrzyński said on Tuesday.
Dobrzyński reported that the man recognized military facilities in Poland.
“On the basis of the Mazowiecki Department of the Department of Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office, the Mazowiecki Faculty of Mazowiecki initiated an investigation and charged the detainees with the detainee's charge of participating in the activities of Russian intelligence against the Republic of Poland” – he noted.
The detained man gave explanations in which he described the ideological motives of his activities resulting from his relationships with Russia. He was arrested for three months by court decision.
“Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, with suspicion of espionage or diversion for Russia or Belarus in Poland, ABW officers have already detained 44 people. Among them are Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians and Poles” – said Dobrzyński.
