The indictment against the 65-year-old doctor Andrzej K. was accused of killing his wife in September last year in Annopol (Lublin). According to the findings, he dealt at least 35 blows with a knife. The woman died despite resuscitation. The man is threatened with life imprisonment.
The incident occurred in September last year. The police then received a report about a woman calling for help in the block at ul. Leśna in Annopol. Andrzej K. opened the door to officers on the kitchen floor, an unconscious wounded woman was lying. Next to her there was a knife, the second knife covered with blood was on the kitchen counter. Despite the resuscitation of the life of a 57-year-old nurse, it was not possible to save.
According to the findings, the man first hit his wife with a bottle in the head, then – at least 35 times – stabbed her with a knife in the torso, chest, hands, face. The woman died of bleeding.

Investigators have no doubt about the fault of the accused. “Despite the shouting of the victim, resisting and calling for help, the accused was adamant and consistently realized his intention and inflicted her next blows with a knife” – he emphasized in the indictment.
According to the prosecutor's office, they have been married for several decades. They ran a clinic together in Annopol. They were considered a harmonious couple. The police had not intervened at home before.
The suspect Andrzej K. did not plead guilty. He explained that he acted in a necessary defense, repelling his wife's attack. Expert psychiatrists decided that the accused was readable. He is threatened with life imprisonment for the murder.
The first date of the hearing before the District Court in Lublin was set for May 14.
