Ukrainian authorities reported the downing of a Russian warplane near the city of Konstantinivka in the Donetsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine. The type of plane that was downed was not specified.
The head of the military administration of Constantinople, Serhiy Horbunov, stated that a Russian plane was shot down near this city, the Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne reported.
Photos posted on social media show debris from the plane after hitting a house that burst into flames, the AP reported.
Part of the Donetsk Oblast is occupied by Russian troops, but Konstantinivka is located in areas controlled by the authorities Ukraine.
