The eight AH-64D Apache assault helicopters will go to Poland on June 16-TVN, Marcin National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, said in an interview with the correspondent of “Facts” by TVN. Training before “target” delivery

After talking to the American Secretary of Defense, the Deputy Prime Minister answered the questions of the “Facts” correspondent of Marcin Wrona's TVN. The politician announced that the first eight AH-64D Apache assault helicopters would go to Poland on June 16.

The package of contracts starting the leasing procedure of these helicopters was signed on February 27 this year. At that time, it was reported that their delivery would take place at the earliest in June, and at the latest in September. These helicopters will reach Poland before the 96 machines of this type ordered last year in the most modern version of the AH-64E version and allow, among others for the first start of crew training and technical service.

AH-64D APACHE helicopters will go to the subfields of the 1st Land Forces Aviation Brigade, stationed, among others in Inowrocław, where the training of flying, technical and security staff will be conducted.

As part of the agreement concluded on August 13, 2024, Poland is to receive 96 modern AH-64E APACHE helicopters with a logistics package (including helicopter equipment, airport and Hangar equipment and technical support) and training (specialist training and training equipment for pilots and technicians). The order also includes a comprehensive supply of combat means and spare parts. The delivery was provided in 2028-2032.

Apache will replace, among others outdated Mi-24 helicopters.
