A multi-story building, an industrial facility and urban infrastructure were destroyed. Shrapnel hit a tram and a minibus with passengers. Cars parked nearby were damaged.
“Unfortunately, the number of people injured as a result of the Russian attack on Zaporozhye is increasing. So far, 122 people have asked doctors for help,” Ivan Fedorov wrote on Telegram on Thursday evening.
Zelensky: deliberate attack on the city
President Volodymyr Zelensky considered the attack on Zaporizhia to be a conscious action by Russia against civilians. – The Russians attack Zaporozhye with air bombs. (It's) a deliberate attack on the city. We currently know of several dozen injured. Everyone is provided with the necessary help. Unfortunately, 13 people died. I express my condolences to the families and friends. Unfortunately, the number of victims may increase, the Ukrainian leader said on Wednesday evening.
– There is nothing more cruel than bombing a city knowing that ordinary civilians will suffer. We must put pressure on Russia for its terror. We must support the protection of life in Ukraine. The only way to end such a war with lasting peace is to use force, Zelensky emphasized.
