“Therefore, pack your backpack now, charge the batteries and move out of town, preferably north of the city. It will happen that night” – he emphasized.

Astronomy popularizer wrote that it is worth going to a place that is away from the city's lights. According to him, it's best to go north of the city so that the northern horizon's view is not covered smog light.

“The aurora can be visible at a height of up to several dozen degrees above the horizon, so you do not have to have a view to the ground itself, but it's good that there is no big block, lighthouse or shopping center in the north,” wrote Karol Wójcicki.
