During his visit to Berlin, US President Joe Biden met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. He said there is currently no consensus on allowing Ukraine to use long-range weapons supplied to Kiev by Western allies against targets deep inside Russia. Starmer, on the other hand, assessed that the country ruled by Vladimir Putin was “weakening” and referred to reports regarding plans for North Korean soldiers to participate in the war in Ukraine.
Starmer, Biden, Macron and Scholz held a four-party meeting in Berlin on Friday where they discussed the possibility of ending the war Russia against Ukraine and talked about the situation in the Middle East.
In a joint declaration published by the German government after the meeting, the four leaders reaffirmed their “determination” to support Ukraine in the war against the Russian aggressor and in Kiev's efforts “to ensure a just and lasting peace based on international law, including the Charter of the United Nations and respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Starmer: Russia is weakening
Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer commented on reports regarding plans to participate in North Korean soldiers in the war against Ukraine. He said that if these were confirmed, it would be an expression of Russia's “level of desperation” in its war with Ukraine. “Russia is weakening,” Starmer said, emphasizing that Western allies remain “totally committed” to supporting Kiev.

North Korean soldiers go to war
For several days, Ukrainian media have been reporting on the creation of a “special Buryat battalion” in the Russian army, consisting of North Korean citizens.
