A fisherman fell out of the boat while fishing on the Vistula River near the town of Bobrowniki near Lipno (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). Unfortunately, despite the services' actions, the 40-year-old man could not be saved.
The incident took place on Saturday. The fisherman who fell from the boat into the Vistula was noticed by a witness. He immediately alerted the fire brigade. Six firefighters were dispatched to the site, including a specialist water and diving rescue group from Włocławek.
Local firefighters were the first to arrive and rescued an approximately 40-year-old man from the Vistula River.
The man could not be saved
“At the scene of the incident, the man was pulled out by firefighters, our rescuers, together with the rescuers of WOPR Włocławek, started to help with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and continued it until the Medical Rescue Team arrived at the scene,” we read in the post published by the Lipnów Volunteer Water Emergency Service.
Despite the quick action of firefighters and resuscitation efforts, the angler could not be saved. The doctor pronounced him dead.
