Bronisław Komorowski in “Kropka nad i”: Donald Trump wants more than a reset with Russia

The administration of Donald Trump caused a very far -reaching weakness of Ukraine. Both military and political – said former President Bronisław Komorowski in “Kropka nad i”. According to him, Trump wants to “gain a partner in Putin to solve very different American problems in the world.”

– It is necessary to make a distinction between the United States and Donald Trump – said in “Kropka nad i” former President Bronisław Komorowski asked if Ukraine can still count on support USA.

– Donald Trump's administration caused a very far -reaching weakness of Ukraine – both military and political. (…) Trump shared very seriously trust in the stability of American policy in matters of security of the entire eastern flank NATO and the European Union. It is impossible to pretend it is different – said Komorowski.

The hostess of the program Monika Olejnik commented that Trump “wants a reset with Russia”. – I think he wants more. He thinks that he will gain a partner in Putin to solve very different, sometimes important problems or American interests in the world. He is willing to pay a lot to Putin, as long as he agreed even to some conditions at the expense of Ukraine – he added.

Electoral campaign and Ukrainian issues. “It's astocracy”

The former president also talked about the use of the Ukrainian thread in the election campaign. – I am very worried that candidates – not everyone fortunately – succumbed to the temptation to develop unkind Ukrainians and the defense war of Ukraine of political environments – he assessed. – This, unfortunately, results from a democratic mechanism. It is a manowo of democracy that he also reaches in the election campaign to develop also dangerous opinions – said the guest “Dots nad i”.

– Nawrocki from the very beginning headed towards quite radical right -wing fundamentalists. I would say that he went out even a series of Pisowski, saying that Ukraine should not claim membership at NATO at all. He said something different than the important Pisces activists said a few months ago – said Komorowski.

What about the debate? “Gentlemen, not through the media, but talk to the staffs”

Rafał Trzaskowski offered Karol Nawrocki a debate. It is to take place on Friday in Końskie. Readiness to organize it was expressed by TVP, TVN24 and Polsat News. Trzaskowski's staff is ready for debate, the staff of Nawrocki puts an additional condition and wants other television to be involved.

On Friday at the headquarters of TVP there was a meeting of staffing of both candidates with representatives of TVP, TVN24 and Polsat News, where there was no agreement. The stations developed the rules of the debate planned for Friday in Końskie and sent a proposal in this matter to Trzaskowski and Nawrocki's staffs. It is still unknown whether the debate will take place.

According to Komorowski, “a debate is needed” and serves “candidates and public opinion, provided that it is carried out in such a way that its conditions will be accepted by both sides.” “Otherwise, you have to look at it like an attempt to avoid a debate or putting a competitor in a more difficult situation,” he said.
