A clear message from Duda's camp: – There cannot be a situation in which the constitutional body of the state, the judges of the Constitutional Tribunal, the most important court in Poland, and its judges remain without remuneration for next year. This is blatant harm constitutional institutions – said Presidential Minister Łukasz Rzepecki. This is a response to calls for Andrzej Duda to veto the budget bill.
Confusion around the budget: It is true that the Budget Act for 2025 has not even been adopted by the Sejm yet, but it is already causing great controversy. PiS believes it is unconstitutional because Zeroes expenditure on salaries for judges of the Constitutional Tribunal. In turn, the government emphasizes that this is a record budget when it comes to spending on defense and health care and they expect Andrzej Duda will not block them.
Key days: Piotr Borys, an MP from the Civic Coalition, announced that there will be no changes to the budget law. Afterword will deal with the budget act for 2025 at the next meetingwhich is scheduled for January 8-10.
