Big changes in Lidl Plus. Sharing promotions may result in the loss of your account

The subpoint added by Lidl states that “The Service Provider may terminate the contract with the User with immediate effect (termination with immediate effect of the contract for participation in the Service) for important reasons.” According to the store, these include:

  • reasonable suspicion that the User has violated these Regulations or other regulations of a campaign or promotion in which participation is possible only through the Service, resulting in unjustified granting of a promotion or other benefits in the Service;
  • transfer by the User – under any legal title – to another user of a coupon entitling to grant a discount or participate in a campaign or promotion via the Service, which has been assigned only to the Account of a given User;
  • submission by the User of a false declaration as to the fulfillment of the conditions entitling to use the Service (in particular any of the conditions indicated in point II, section 1 of the Regulations);
  • unfairly influencing the functionality of the Service or interfering with its mechanism in order to obtain undue coupons or promotions.

The most important point is the second rule, which refers to the practice of sharing promotions, which is popular among customers. Lidl has thus expressly prohibited the transfer of coupons between users.
