A 31-year-old man came to the police station in Chęciny (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship) to check his sobriety. A police breathalyzer test showed that he had more than half a per mille of alcohol in his body.
“After leaving the police station, the man headed towards a nearby parking lot, where he got behind the wheel of a parked vehicle and drove away. As soon as the officers noticed the situation, they quickly prevented him from driving further,” the police describe in the press release.
The detained man lost his driving license. The 31-year-old faces up to three years in prison for driving under the influence of alcohol.
