– Democracy means that different voices should be heard inside parliamentary or pseudo-parliamentary institutions – said Krzysztof Bosak from Konfederacja, deputy speaker of the Sejm, in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. He referred in this way to the behavior of Grzegorz Braun during the debate in the European Parliament on aid for Ukraine. According to Katarzyna Lubnauer, deputy minister of national education, Braun is “pro-Russian and clearly anti-Ukrainian.”
The European Parliament gave the green light to the loan on Tuesday Ukraine amounting to up to EUR 35 billion, to be repaid from the proceeds from frozen Russian assets. This loan is the EU's contribution to the G7 support for Ukraine agreed in June, totaling approximately EUR 45 billion
.During the discussion, Confederation MEP Grzegorz Braun came to the podium. – What is this about? Is this a bank robbery? I don't want to participate in such activities. You are discussing money that is not yours, he said. He also repeated the anti-Ukrainian narrative pushed, among others, by the authorities in the Kremlin. – The Kiev regime is probably one of the most corrupt and deadly to its own citizens in the history of Europe, he said.

Bosak: this is what democracy is all about
This matter was discussed in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 by Katarzyna Lubnauer from the Civic Coalition, deputy minister of national education, and Krzysztof Bosak from the Confederation, deputy speaker of the Sejm.
– I think you can criticize this program, but I would use completely different arguments. In my opinion, what is there in general is a confusion of roles. It is not the member states that should go into debt to finance Ukraine. Ukraine should become indebted to countries that want to lend money to Ukraine, Bosak said.
– As far as I know, the main disadvantage of this program is that it is another debt issuance program by the European Union in order to give money to someone. I see no reason for Poland to participate in this, he continued.
He said that “you don't have to help Ukraine, but you can” and added that “each country should help in proportion to its capabilities and to the will of its citizens.”
When asked whether Grzegorz Braun's behavior did not discredit Poland on the international arena, he replied: – It depends on your views. There are people who have views like Grzegorz Braun and are happy that they are expressed in the European Parliament. There are those who have it a little different. There are those who feel completely the opposite. I believe that in the group of 750 MEPs, where we have people who can hang out their hammer and sickle in the office in the European Parliament, where we have people who fly there with various rainbow flags (…), there is also a place for Grzegorz Braun.

Katarzyna Lubaner assessed that MEP Braun is “pro-Russian and clearly anti-Ukrainian.” She emphasized that Braun remains a member of the Confederation, even though he used a fire extinguisher in the Sejm last December.
– The man who represents you and from whom you do not distance yourself, who, as I understand it, is still a member of the Confederation, is pro-Russian and shouts “thieves, thieves” when European Union wants (to help Ukraine – ed.) – she noted.
– You don't get rid of him even when he acted in an anti-Semitic manner. Let me remind you that he used a fire extinguisher to attack, among others, a woman, thus endangering her life, the deputy minister continued.

The program's guests also commented on the presentation presented by the Minister for Equality Katarzyna Kotula draft act on civil partnerships.
Bosak stated that “this is not the Act on civil partnerships, it is the Act on same-sex marriages.” – They rewrote most of the provisions of the Family Code regarding marriage and family, called it partnerships, pretended it was another legal entity – he said.
– In fact, it is not known why they are introducing this heterosexual version of civil partnerships, probably just to mislead public opinion, because it closely resembles marriage. In fact, it's hard to say why anyone would include it when it's so similar, (…). We are against this because we believe there is no reason to create new legal entities and dilute family law, he added.

Lubnauer: the solutions presented by Minister Kotula are very conservative
Katarzyna Lubnauer also spoke. – I have no doubt that when it comes to civil partnerships, which are present in most European Union countries, (…), the majority of such partnerships are between heterosexual couples, not homosexual ones. Homosexuals are only a smaller part, she said.
She argued that the solutions proposed by Minister Kotula are “very conservative”. – I believe that Polish society would accept much more far-reaching solutions – she added.
