Down accident on the road national number 521, on the Kwidzyn – Prabuty route (Pomeranian Voivodeship), occurred on Tuesday around 10:30 p.m. Police officers working at the scene initially determined that the driver of the agricultural tractor was driving in the right lane from Raniewo towards Licz. His vehicle was properly lit.

– The Toyota driver behind him noticed the tractor too late, did not have time to react and hit its rear. As a result of the incident, a 49-year-old resident of the Kwidzyn commune, who was traveling in a car, suffered injuries. The ambulance crew took him to the hospital. Nothing happened to the 54-year-old man from the Sadlinki commune who was driving the tractor – said the District Police Headquarters in Kwidzyn.
The driver had a lot on his conscience
A police breathalyzer test showed that the tractor driver was sober, while the Toyota driver had 1.3 per mille of alcohol in his body. It also came to light that he did not have a driving license and the car he was traveling in did not have up-to-date technical inspections.
– Police officers at the scene of the incident performed procedural activities, questioned the participants, secured evidence, and inspected the place and vehicles. Based on the collected evidence, the detailed course and circumstances of the accident will be determined, the officers said.
The 49-year-old will be charged with causing an accident, driving under the influence of alcohol and without a driving license without a technical inspection.
