We want to keep the current maximum energy prices at the same level as this year. This buys us time to implement and accelerate systemic solutions, including the acceleration of renewable energy, said Urszula ZieliĆska, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, in “#BezKitu” on TVN24.
During a conversation in “#BezKitu”, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Urszula ZieliĆska announced that the project regarding freezing energy prices for next year.
– We want to maintain the current protective systems, i.e. maximum prices at the same level as this year – said the deputy minister. When asked whether she was able to guarantee that energy prices would remain at the same level, she replied that she would guarantee that once the project was adopted in the Sejm and then voted on by the president.
She added that she hoped that the bill would be adopted in the Sejm and that the act would be signed by the president. – This buys us time to implement and accelerate these systemic solutions, including the acceleration of renewable energy – she added.
– This (next – ed.) week in the Sejm will be a very green week. This week we are processing the act on improving and accelerating the implementation of renewable investments. We will also deal with the prosumer act, where those who have photovoltaics on their roof will be able to save up to several hundred zlotys – announced the deputy minister of climate.
“I hope the president wants lower prices”
ZieliĆska, referring to the president's words about the wind farm bill, said that she “hopes that the president also wants cheaper, lower energy prices.” When asked for a comment about the words Andrzej Dudaregarding the “destruction of the landscape” by windmills placed on land, stated that what the head of state says stops the reduction of energy prices.
– And we had increases in energy prices between 2017 and 2023, when President Duda's party was in power – PIS. Energy prices and tariffs then increased by 350 percent. Just imagine. This is what this policy has led to, including blocking wind energy on land, which is currently the cheapest in the world – explained ZieliĆska.
