– We create God, because they will be his possibilities, in his image and likeness. With all our disadvantages, with all our shortcomings, weaknesses and unethical behavior above all – said on TVN24 Bis Lech C. Król, an expert on the artificial intelligence of Molecular Worldwide. In this way he commented on reports of the AI model, which rebelled and did not want to turn off.
“Wall Street Journal” described research conducted by the Palisade Research organization, dealing with research on artificial intelligence. The organization programmed one of the models of the Opeli's artificial intelligence in such a way that its automatic closure occurred when the program was launched. However, as it turned out, the Language Model O3 rebelled and in almost 80 percent. cases changed his code so that the closing ban did not work.
Lech C. Król, an expert for artificial intelligence, Molecular Worldwide, who was a guest of TVN24 BIS, was asked how serious this problem is.
– I think it is worth asking myself what AI is learning? How does the knowledge that Ai learn, so-called LLMs, comes from? He learns from the Internet, reads all the Internet, reads all books. So what humanity created earlier – said the king.
The expert ironically stated that “there are plenty of examples that, for example, people talk to each other and one of the adversaries suddenly discovers that he was wrong, he immediately changes his mind, apologizes to his friend, or a politician who suddenly notics that his idea is pointless, withdraws and gives support to someone else.”
To beyond that “nothing human is foreign to him” the king noticed that he would put it a bit differently.
– We create God, because they will be his possibilities, in his image and likeness. With all our disadvantages, with all our shortcomings, weaknesses and unethical behavior above all – he pointed out.
Does AI get out of control?
Since the model refused to follow and turn off, can we talk about the fact that it is out of our control? In the King's opinion, not necessarily.
– They do what we taught these systems. They are simply wise enough that they understood that in the knowledge we gave them, there are ways to deal with us. They do exactly what we planned from the beginning. We taught their material on our own example – the expert pointed out.
The king pointed out that at the same time that the user giving artificial intelligence, the so -called Prompt, gives him a certain range of knowledge that “in some way inspires this AI”.
LLM – Large language models – upbringing
– inspires, that is, he finds connections between these things. He doesn't plan, he's not bad, he doesn't look for any loose in this. He just behaves as if people behaved in this context. He is more human than we think. Can you deal with it? You can, but we can't handle it – he said.
The king explained that this would happen, we would have to slow down the process of developing artificial intelligence – “to take a step back, create control mechanisms and create the mechanisms of actually establishing certain things together.” – It will not happen, because the market is so powerful that everyone is rushing for money at all costs – he added.
What will artificial intelligence change in our lives?
Lech C. King asked about what and how artificial intelligence changes our lives compared it to calculators.
– When they appeared, they did a lot of work for us. Like a servo in a car. So that we don't have to shoot the steering wheel. We should learn that generally AI is a tool that helps us think. It helps us verify the theses. It helps us to model and, for example, do simulations – he pointed out. – And now what is interesting. The smarter the person who talks to such AI, the more he can get out of it (…) you need to know how to ask. And to know how to ask, you need to have knowledge and a certain level of intelligence – he emphasized.
He added that artificial intelligence will change our way “in which we will talk to computers”. – The screens will disappear, you will not have a screen in a moment, you will only talk to AI. He will be everywhere – he concluded.
