Officials from Kościelisko are fighting illegal connections to the water supply network. At the beginning they announced abolition. Residents who do not manage to report will pay penalties.

The head of Kościeliska Roman Krupa set a deadline for regulating formal and legal issues with waterworks on April 18. Later, real estate inspections using the network without a concluded contract will start.

– We have observed that many properties have not concluded relevant contracts for the supply of water they are collecting. Hence the request, which aims to seal the records of concluded water supply and reduce the scale of non -contractual use – emphasizes the head of Kościeliska Roman Krupa.

As the head of the Tatra town explained, for several weeks the commune has been verifying contracts for the supply of water and found numerous cases of non -contractual use of the water supply network. Therefore, residents who have not yet concluded relevant contracts can do so without consistency until April 18.

– I count on treating my request seriously. I must admit that it aims to seal records of concluded water supply and reduce the scale of non -contractual use – Krupa informed. He estimated that this problem may affect up to several dozen households.

After the deadline for notification, the Commune Office will start inspections, and property owners without contracts may be fined up to PLN 5,000. Residents who want to regulate the issue of water supply can get help at the Commune Office.

This is another abolition action in the Kościelisko commune. Last year, a similar initiative concerned owners of illegally rented accommodation facilities. Thanks to this, more than half a thousand beds were legalized.
