At the Thursday meeting, the Sejm National Defense Committee dealt with two draft resolutions. The first of them was the KO project on support for the European Parliament resolution regarding the White Book on the future of European defense, and the second – a PiS project on the defense of Polish sovereignty.
A quarrel in the parliamentary corridor
On the same day in the parliamentary corridor there was a quarrel between PiS MP Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk and MP Witold Zembaczyński.
– You put up where Putin stands – said Zembaczyński.
“You know eight stars, nothing else,” Szynkowski Vel Sęk replied.
– I would like to familiarize you with patriotism. You have to defend Poland, defend the border, defend the Commonwealth. Do not defend Putin, do not defend Orban – said Zembaczyński.
– You must first have substantive knowledge – answered PiS MP.
– You can't grow blunt propaganda – continued Zembaczyński, for which Szynkowski vel Sęk said that “we agree here”.

Zembaczyński appealed that the PiS MP “would not vote for them (PO – ed.), Turely vote for Poland.” “Don't vote for Putin,” he added.

Voting on the east shield
MPs in voting decided to change the title of resolution to a resolution on the security of the Republic of Poland.
The draft resolution was adopted by the ratio of votes 15 to 1. There was insulation, which was the only PiS deputies to the end in the committee meeting, the rest of PiS deputies left the meeting. The draft resolution proposed by MPs KO assumes full support for the solutions contained in the European Parliament resolution of March 12 regarding the future of European defense. The resolutions were not supported by, among others MEPs of PiS and the Confederation. The resolution emphasizes, among others, that the Sejm considers a particularly important record of the PE resolution regarding the Targe East program
“The Sejm of the Republic of Poland considers a particularly important provision of resolutions regarding the Targe East program, which was recognized as the flagship project of the European Union in the field of security and defense,” it was indicated. The content of the project also includes A call to all political forces “to unity, firmness and joint actions for national security and strengthening the ability to jointly defend European countries.”
In the project submitted by PiS deputies, the government was called to withdraw support for the PE resolution and take action to strengthen the national defense policy, including close cooperation under NATO.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk before departure to Brussels assessed that PiS and Confederation They voted in the EP against the project, which in the future will be the nightmare of Vladimir Putin. In his opinion, the support of the parliamentary draft resolution on the East shield is a chance to wash disgrace for those who have not supported the PE resolution.
