The number of completely electric passenger and commercial cars in Poland exceeded 84,000 pieces in February, increasing by 15 percent per year. The number of charging points of such vehicles has also grown. This is the result of, among others, the support program for buyers.
At the end of February 2025, a total of 84.8 thousand were registered in Poland. Personal and utility cars completely electric (BEV) – according to the electromobility meter, launched by the Polish Automotive Industry Association (PZPM) and the Polish Association of New Mobility (PSNM).

In turn, the number of vans and trucks with electric drive was over 8.4 thousand. “The fleet of electric mopeds and motorcycles is constantly growing, which at the end of February consisted of 23,000 880 pcs, as well as the number of passenger and van hybrid cars, which increased to 1 million 14 thousand 635 pcs.” – the authors of the report noticed.
An increase was also recorded in the number of zero -emission buses. Currently, it amounts to over 1.5 thousand. pieces, of which over 1.4 thousand These are completely electric vehicles, and 89 pieces – hydrogen.
Development of charging infrastructure
The authors of the report pointed out that the charging infrastructure is developing in parallel to the fleet of electric drive. They informed that at the end of February 2025 there were 9,000 in Poland. 125 publicly available electric vehicle charging points. Of which 31 percent These are fast fixed charging points (DC), and 69 percent – Free AC (AC) with a power of a smaller power of 22 kW. From the beginning of the year, 500 new charging points have arrived in Poland.
The PZPM President Jakub Faryś, cited in the report, assessed that February turned out to be “a very good month of registration of both new and used vehicles”. – As for the results of new vehicles, the effect of growth is probably the introduction of a new support program – NaszAuto, and only in the first few weeks of the operation of this program received over 1,300 applications – he noted.
The Faryś drew attention to the slightly worse situation of vans. He indicated that their number in the first two months of 2025 fell on an annual basis. – Here the reason for the declines is probably the end of the my electrician support program – he said.
Subsidy program for electricians
The new NaszAauto electric car support program has started on February 3 this year. The maximum co -financing for the purchase, leasing and rental of a long -term electric car is 40,000 in it. zloty. Support consists of several elements, including a bonus for scampering an old car or a bonus for the low income of the beneficiary.
The program assumes that the support covers the brand new electric cars with a mileage up to 6,000. km, for a maximum of 225,000 PLN net without VAT, which were not registered before buying. Demonstration vehicles are also qualified for the program, e.g. used for test drives on dealership boards (white background of the board and green signs).
