The draft budget discussed in the Sejm provides for the amount of PLN 2 billion for this purpose. The head of the ministry also explained that the forms of support for energy consumers in 2025 will be determined after the adoption of the state budget.

Meanwhile, in the adopted on Tuesday, October 8 “Medium-term budgetary and structural plan for 2025-2028” a scenario was adopted assuming a 15 percent increase in regulated tariffs for end users in 2025. The plan emphasizes that the start of deficit reduction next year will be supported, among others, by “limiting protective measures limiting the effects of energy price increases.”

Electricity prices frozen only until the end of 2024.

From July 1 to the end of 2024, the maximum price for electricity is PLN 500/MWh for households. For small and medium-sized enterprises it is PLN 693/MWh. Previously (until June 30, 2024), households paid PLN 412/MWh up to the designated consumption limits, and after exceeding them, the price was PLN 693/MWh. Households with lower income could apply for the so-called energy voucher.
