From March 1, 2025, higher rates of benefits paid by KRUS. Valorization took over the pensions, pension and additions to farmers and insured household members in the agricultural system. The benefits increased by 5.5 percent.
What is the pension after 25 years of working in agriculture? Seniors can count so much
KRUS uses a different way of calculating pensions than ZUS. In this system, the amount of contributions does not count, but the length of the period of embracing with agricultural retirement and disability insurance. The amount of the benefit is determined by multiplication pensions basic by an individual indicator that depends on the number of years worked. After the March indexation in 2025, the base is PLN 1691.02 gross – it is PLN 88.16 more than last year. As we can read on the GOV.pl portal, a person with a 25-year contribution period will receive PLN 1995.40 gross (indicator 1.18). In 30 years, the indicator grows to 1.23, which translates into a benefit in height around PLN 2080.96,
It is worth knowing that KRUS provides a mechanism for increasing the benefit to the minimum agricultural pension, which since March 2025 is PLN 1878.91 gross. This is a form of support for people with short insurance experience, whose standard calculation does not provide such an amount. However, it should be remembered that not everyone is entitled to equalization. Turned off, among others Persons continuing agricultural activities, achieving additional income from paid work or receiving other benefits, e.g. from ZUS, if their total amount exceeds the value of the lowest pension.
What conditions must be met to get a pension from KRUS? Two things are important
To receive a pension from KRUS, two requirements must be met: reach a universal retirement age (60 years for women, 65 years for men) and demonstrate at least a 25-year period of subject to agricultural retirement and disability insurance. The contributory years have been important since 1991, as well as earlier periods: 1983–1990 (insurance of individual farmers) and work on the farm after the age of 16 before 1983.
Persons born after 1948 must only demonstrate agricultural internship, except for e.g. military service, which in certain cases may be passed. Other forms of insurance, such as full -time or business activity, do not increase the law nor the amount of agricultural pension. If we also have the right internship in ZUS, you can receive benefits from both systems at the same time. From June 2022, there is no longer obliged to transfer the farm to collect a full benefit, and people paying double contributions can count on an additional bonus for each such year.
