Junior Brigadier Arkadiusz Kaniak said that although water had entered the basements of 76 houses in Osiecznica and 14 in Stary Raduszec and was still there, there was no need to evacuate. The Odra gauge in Trestno near Wrocław showed for the first time in a week that the river was flowing below the alarm levels.

Water level in the Odra River in Cigacice It fell slightly. At night it was 641 cm. – The embankments along the Odra are heavily soaked with water, but the situation is constantly monitored and the seepage is immediately stopped – said Kaniak.
The situation on the river is stable there. – The section of the river to Czerwieńsk is being patrolled all the time – said Dariusz Mach, director of the department of security and crisis management at the Zielona Góra city office.
On Wednesday from 6:00 the bridge in Cigacice will be opened for traffic. Patrols are on the entire section of the Odra. The river is monitored from land and air. The police from Krosno Odrzańskie use thermal imaging at night, which makes it easier to detect seepages on the embankments.

The Odra River level in Połęck in the evening was 552 cm, in Biała Góra it is lower and is 540 cm. In Słubice the river reaches 510 cm. In Nowa Sól the water is 632 cm, which indicates a very slow fall. – The water will return to the riverbed in about two weeks – said Kaniak.

On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the water gauge on the Odra in Trestno near Wrocław showed for the first time in a week that the river was flowing below the alarm levels.
According to the reading from 10:50 p.m., the Odra level was 449 cm. This is a centimeter below the alarm level – according to data published by IMGW. Subsequent readings from 11 p.m. were higher, but according to forecasts, at 8 a.m. on Wednesday the water level will be 440 cm.
The flood front passed through the capital of Lower Silesia without causing any damage on 19 September. At its peak, the water gauge in Trestno showed 644 cm, with the historical maximum being reached on this gauge in July 1997. At that time, the level of the Oder there was 724 cm.
