They escaped from the great water

There are more and more dramatic accounts of survivors or rescued by the services in the British media.

A school bus became stuck in deep water in Evesham on Monday morning. Rescuers who arrived at the scene using two boats managed to free 57 children and the driver from the immobilized vehicle. No one was injured and all those rescued are feeling well – said a representative of the local Prince Henry High School.

On Saturday, at the last minute, the driver managed to pull his 11-month-old child out of the sinking car. As he told the BBC, Andre Randles was traveling with his son to Todmorden in West Yorkshire on Saturday and took a detour due to the road closure. At one point, rapidly rising water immobilized his car:

“As soon as I saw the danger, that is, the water rushing into the car, and I felt that we were no longer drifting but were sinking, something came to me. I thought that I had to get out and get Luca out [jego syna – red.] – the driver reported in an interview with the BBC. As soon as the 22-year-old pulled the child out of the car, the vehicle was almost completely hidden under water.
