A roundup is underway after finding three bodies in one of the residential buildings in Western Germany. The suspect escaped when officers arrived at the scene. The police recommend the residents not to take hitchhikers and others at home.
Three bodies were found in a building in Weitefeld, West Germany.
The suspect escaped from the scene when the officers arrived at the scene of the incident and is at large – said the spokesman for the German press agency.
Warnings for residents
The police advise the inhabitants of the surrounding areas that they remain in their homes and warn people, so that they do not take hitchhikers – local media reported.
The German “Bild” announced that there is a special task group on the spot, and in use there is a police helicopter.
Weitefeld, in which about 2,200 people live, was fenced off, and vehicles entering and leaving are checked.
A police spokesman told Bild that the alarm report came at 3:45 local time. The person who made the connection shouted.
The police reported that among the three victims there are two men and one woman. A police spokesman did not rule out that there were children among the victims. He added that it should be assumed that there were family connections between them. The spokesman also said that there was evidence of both firearms and the task of pre -wound victims.
Mayor Weitefeld, Karl-Heinz Kessler, said that he would never “imagine such an act” in his small community.
“You know people here in the village,” he said in an interview with Der Spiegel.
Kessler said that a woman, a man and a teenage boy lived at home.
