Reuters Agency has obtained data from Germany's budget for 2025. It turns out that the government intends to reduce military aid for Ukraine from around 8 billion euros to 4 billion. The reason for the decision is the depletion of German armed forces due to weapons deliveries to Kiev. The agency recalls that Berlin has transferred three Patriot air defense units to Ukraine – more than to any other country.

The German government assumes that Ukraine will be able to meet most of its military needs with loans of up to $50 billion, which come from frozen Russian assets. – Ukraine's financing is secured for the future thanks to European instruments and G7 loans – commented German Finance Minister Christian Lindner on Wednesday, July 17.
Importantly, the current authorities in Washington were supposed to push for early repayment of the loans. EU leaders have largely agreed to this idea because it reduces the risk that Ukraine will be left without any funds if Donald Trump regains the presidency.
