The dangerous situation occurred on Sunday, March 9 in the afternoon in Głogów. The duty officer received a notification according to which a man on Jan from Głogów has an explosive in his backpack and intends to detonate it. The police were sent to the place.
“The man was standing in front of the main entrance of the building of the Polytechnic School Complex in Głogów. Cables connected to the laptop protruded from his backpack” – describes young Asp. Natalia Szymańska from the police in Głogów.
He tried to grab the knife
Policemen and the fire brigade secured the area. They tried to talk to the man. However, this did nothing. He was quickly overpowered and detained.
A policeman with a service dog trained to search for fragrances of explosives and a miner-pyrotechnic recognition group also worked on site. There were no explosives in the backpack.
