Certainly, many fans remember Julia Szeremeta's performances at the last Olympic Games. In Paris, the Pole dealt with Omailyn Alcala, Tina Rahimi, Ashleyann Lozada and Nesthy Petecio. The most difficult task awaited her in the final. In the fight for the gold medal in women's boxing in the up to 57 kg category, the winner was Lin Yu-Ting, around whom a great gender controversy broke out during the competition.
Szeremeta returns to the ring! We know who will show galas with her participation
Despite this, Poland finally won a medal in boxing after 32 years, so it can already be said that Szeremeta has made history! Such enormous success comes with equally enormous popularity. No wonder that many fans are currently looking forward to the next performances of the 21-year-old, who shows off her looseness, speed and precision in the ring.
It turns out that Julia Szeremeta will fight her next fights in just a few weeks. The Olympic vice-champion is to take part in the Polish senior championships in Wałbrzych. This event will take place on December 1-7. This will be her first appearance in the ring since the fight with Lin-Yu Ting. And that's not the end! A week later, the 21-year-old will appear at the Suzuki Boxing Night 31 gala in Lublin. This is her hometown, so you can expect crowds in the stands.
Both events will be broadcast on TVP Sport, but in the case of the Polish Championships, the station will only show the finals. It is possible that Szeremeta will check in at one of them.
Recently, Julia Szeremeta talked about the other side of her success in an interview with TVP Sport. What are the negative sides of a professional boxer's career? – Everyday life for sure. We are on training camps all the time, we are not at home. 270 days a year on the team, so it took away some of my friends and relaxation, because people my age have fun, spend time together, and I spend it in the room – she confessed.
