On Monday – on the way z Canada to Narsarsuaq in Greenland – The small Piper PA-46 Malibu plane had to make an emergency landing at sea due to engine failure. The two pilots who were inside, gave a signal about the threat.
It was received by the Danish Armed Forces Command, specifically the Arctic Command, responsible for this region.
Plane crashed into sea. Danes saved two Germans
This made the Danish services within half an hour they located the German plane. They witnessed the machine fall into the water.
Two pilots managed to get to the previously deployed life raft. In the meantime, the Danes set course towards them. The successful rescue was captured on video.
The pilots can be seen waving lively to the services from the raft. The recording of the Danish services also shows that a moment later a lifeboat arrived and they transferred to it.
It is also known that the two pilots – as reported by the Greenlandic broadcaster KNR – This is Germany. They were not injured, but were taken to hospital for check-ups.
