Kamil Stoch has achieved everything he could have achieved in his career. The most valuable are, of course, the three Olympic golds, but his achievements also include: two world championships. However, recent years have been quite poor in his performance. He finished the previous season in a distant 26th place in the general classification, as many as 1,893 points behind the winner of the World Cup series. He hoped this season would be better. For this purpose, he started cooperation with Michał Doleżal again. Except it happened to him before the competition began injury. And according to his individual coach, it had a significant impact on his current form.

This season he managed to advance to the second place series six times. His best place was 14th place – in a single-series competition in Ruka.
