According to the author of the recording, the situation took place on Saturday around 15:40. “We traveled along the S8 route from Łódź towards Wrocław, when I noticed the BMW, which released in the right lane, and when I started to overtake them, I noticed that the driver blinks at me with emergency lights” – said Marcin.
– This behavior strengthened my vigilance and in fact, right after overtaking this car, I saw another car that at that moment hit the barriers, and then bounced off them and continued driving – he described. – I went to the right lane and started to follow this car, which was moving practically two dogs, descending from right to left, as if the driver was drunk. After a while I decided to notify the services, following this car. BMW followed me, which I had overtaken earlier, and his driver has already turned on emergency lights permanently to warn other travelers – he added, emphasizing that the car driver was also a threat to other traffic participants.
He explained that the cars that tried to overtake him had to slow down when he was moving in an uncontrolled way between the lanes.
– He drove like that for about three kilometers until finally, before the exit towards Wieluń, a police car appeared, which then escorted him, coming from the expressway – he reported.

– I did not stop, so I do not know what the finale of this situation was, but the driver clearly gave the impression that he was under the influence of alcohol – said Marcin.

As we were able to determine, the driver stopped at the Złoczew junction. In this matter, we contacted the Poviat Police Headquarters in Sieradz.
– I confirm that yesterday on the S8 expressway, officers stopped the driver on the Złoczew node. The notification we received showed that he could have been intoxicated, so after stopping the police examined the 52-year-old for the presence of alcohol. The study showed that the examined resident of Wieluń had 4 alcohol per mille – she informed. The man was detained. The case is conducted in the direction of driving in a state of intoxication, for which it may face up to three years in prison, deprivation of driving license, a ban on driving vehicles and a high fine.
